As part of their continued success and to realise their vision to be the leading provider of innovative education solutions in Asia, they are expanding in China and as such are looking for a Business Development Manager.
As the Business Development Manager, you will be a core member of the mainland China Business Development Team. Your main focus will be to understand China’s growing online and digital education industry. You should be focused and results driven, carrying out research on the China education industry and policy trends to identify potential areas of opportunity, with specific focus areas on online education, digital learning platforms, and blended learning. You will locate or propose potential business deals and develop key partners to drive business growth, screen business deals by evaluating market potential, deal requirements, and financial returns and build business cases.
To be successful in this role, you should have over 5 years’ work experience, preferably in publishing, education or internet industries. Have a good understanding and knowledge of the Chinese education industry with existing connections within the education or information industry being a big plus. Basic experience in project management, and skills in managing internal and external stakeholders. You need to be a great communicator, both written and verbally. Fluent in English, strategic and results-driven, MBA is preferred but not required.
