Being a game changer in the field of Higher Education in China, and with their vision to become a research-led international university in China and a Chinese university recognised internationally for its unique features in learning and teaching, research, social service, and education management; they are seeking an HR Director to work closely with the senior leadership team to drive them in their continued successful growth.

As the HR Director, you will provide both strategic HR leadership and ensure delivery of appropriate HR functions. You will be responsible for the direction and control of all human resource services such as recruitment and selection, regulatory compliance, training and organizational development, compensation and benefits, performance management and employee services. You will serve as part of the Senior Management leadership team and have significant involvement in the development and implementation of University strategy.

To be successful in this role, you should have a minimum of 10 years’ progressive leadership in HR positions, educated to at least Masters level with excellent understanding of Chinese employment law, compensation and benefits, organizational planning and development, and employee relations. You need to be pragmatic with decisive problem-solving abilities, a proven ability to work to tight deadlines and to provide practical solutions in difficult situations. You need flexibility, energy, commitment to collaboration, and have an enthusiasm for the pace, dynamism and global ambition which characterises a research led university.

Initial interviews will be carried out either face-to-face or via skype with Education Recruitment Experts in Shanghai, with successful candidates having a secondary interview with our client's Vice President of Administration.  The final interview comprises a four-panel face-to-face with three VPs and the Executive President on location in Suzhou.
