For an August 2024 start, they are seeking a qualified Secondary Science Teacher (Chemistry and Biology) with IGCSE and IBDP background for their bilingual school in Shanghai.
As the Secondary Science Teacher, you will teach IGCSE and IBDP Science. Experience in an international setting is welcome, as is experience in multi-lingual environments.
Key Responsibilities include:
Teaching and learning. Plan and deliver creative, engaging and well-planned lessons and units of work.
Home-School communication. Build and maintain positive and constructive relationships with parents.
Professional Integrity. Maintain the highest standards of care, child protection and safeguarding at all times. Promote an ethos of equality and equal opportunities for all pupils within the setting.
Professional Development. Be familiar with recent developments in pedagogy and within your area of subject expertise. Approach task with a ‘can-do’ attitude and a willingness to take risks and try our new ideas and approaches. Be willing to accept others’ good ideas and share your opinions.
To be successful as the Secondary Science Teacher, you need a Science related bachelor’s degree, teaching certification such as a PGCE. You must be a native level English speaker, with a minimum of 2 years’ teaching experience at secondary school level.
