Director of Marketing, Nantong, China
Our client represents the marriage of traditional values and progressive education. With various locations across mainland China and Hong Kong, they serve approximately 4000 pupils. They are committed to making professional learning and personal development central to their ethos and approach.
As a result of their expansion, they are seeking a Director of Marketing for their new school opening in September 2022. Offering a complete 12-year education system, the school has a total planned area of 57,874m2 and expects to start admitting Chinese nationals in September of 2022. Having an enrolment capacity of over 1700 the school also offers boarding options for approximately 640 pupils, starting from primary school age. Adopting the same Victorian architectural style as in England with teaching areas, boarding accommodation, school halls, dining halls, an indoor sports hall, as well as a swimming pool and outdoor football pitch.
As the Director of Marketing, you will lead, coach and guide the team responsible for planning, implementing and measuring all aspects of the School’s marketing campaign. The School’s marketing strategies and plans should be designed to achieve the maximum number of admissions to each school, as well as to promote the positive image of the School within the education community and to attract the best quality staff to the schools. This is a Senior Leadership position which sits on the School’s SLT and will play a key role in its exciting development and growth plans.

To be successful as the Director of Marketing you need a Marketing related Bachelor’s degree or above. Fluent in English with an ability to communicate in Chinese being highly beneficial. 10 years and above of relevant experience, experience in digital marketing, as well as integrated campaign management in MNC and preferably experience in the education sector. You must have 5 years leadership experience in a marketing function and a strong passion for the education industry. You need a demonstrated ability to interact effectively with the executive team and Board of Directors, with an ability to present analysis, proposals and strategies to leadership, and have a strong track record of solving complex problems, strategic thinking and delivering significant impact as a leader.
